Burglars push man out of first floor window in Milton Keynes
Five burglars threatened a man at knifepoint at a house in Milton Keynes and pushed him out of a first floor window.
The men knocked on the door of a house in Stourhead Gate, Westcroft, on Thursday night, and forced their way in when it was answered. The victim was forced upstairs to look for money and jewellery.
He was pushed from the window while trying to escape and suffered injuries to his legs and back and is being treated at Milton Keynes General Hospital.
Police said other people in the house were assaulted on the ground floor of the house.
The burglars took a small amount of cash and drove off in a small black car, possibly a Vauxhall Corsa. They are described as Asian men, with their faces concealed by scarves, and are believed to have spoken with Pakistani accents, police said.
Det Sgt Luke Grove added: “This was a particularly aggressive burglary in the presence of the occupants including young children. We would encourage anyone who saw a group of men in the area behaving suspiciously to contact us. We would also like to speak to anyone who saw a suspicious small black car in the location last night”
To prevent burglary at your home or place of work, Brown Security Installations woudl recommend window bars or retractable gates. Both allow air and light into the building but prevent unwanted visitors.
